Wispy bangs are the new it-look for bang-lovers everywhere. They are our tried and true favorite, but a little thinner and a lot easier to manage. Bangs are a nice change for women that get antsy with their look and want a simple change that they plan to stick with for a while.

Not only do they look a bit different from what we consider “regular” bangs (bangs that are cut straight across the forehead, in line with your eyebrows), but they are also more choppy to match your hair’s natural texture. This technique allows them to blend better with your hairline.

Wispy bangs are typically much thinner than the blunt styles we are so used to. They are cut at an angle and scissored vertically to maintain an uneven appearance. You may not notice this effect unless you look at them straight-on, but visually they make for an aesthetically pleasing look. These bangs hairstyles are styled to fall into your eyes and make you feel like a sexy goddess.

We’re taking hairstyle cues from celebs that always have the best bangs. Here are some of our favorite celebrities whose wispy bangs hairstyles are so cute they’ll convince you to “chop it off.”

Although Elizabeth Olsen is well-known for her role as Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s Avengers movies, we know her bangs are where the action really is. Elizabeth Olsen’s wispy bangs are a beautiful complement to her green eyes. She prefers more natural-looking makeup, and this creates an appealing backdrop for her wispy bangs. She wears them just touching her lash line and angled downward to brush her cheekbones.

During her Disney days, actress Debby Ryan loved the wispy bang look. They made her round face look fresh and young while creating harmony for the soft curve of her chin and jawline. She rocked it then and most definitely rocks it now.

Camila Cabello debuted her own wispy bangs back in March 2017, and we still love the look on her. They just barely hit her eyes and are enough to create a look that’s both fiery and seductive. With her long, messy locks to complement them, the wispy bangs come across as a bit punk rock. Camila makes these wispy bangs exciting.

So What Do We Think?

We love the wispy bangs look and would love for it to stick around, but do we think it actually will? We think so, but you never know with hair-- trends change, but bangs always swing back around for another go. They do create an alluring frame around the eyes and shape the face in a way that draws people in. There are definitely other types of bangs that look good on people but the wispy bang style is where it’s at for right now.

Yes, they may sweep into your eyes all day, but they’re overall pretty low-maintenance, so that’s easy to overlook. Pairing them with almost any hairstyle, face shape or hair type makes them one of our favorite bangs looks so far, and we hope to try them out for ourselves.
