6 Ways To Get Ready To Manifest Your Desires

manifest your desires

One of the most impactful things I’ve heard in recent days was when I saw Shannon Lee speaking at an event, and she said, “you have time for what you make time for.”

That line truly stuck with me in this period of my life where I feel like I’m teetering between spiritual awakening and creative influence. I feel like I’m standing on the edge and my destiny is just within reach, but I am struggling to create the space to take my final steps.

I often get on an inspirational or learning kick and feel extremely motivated to make significant changes in my little world. Shortly after, I occasionally blow out the candle and head to bed early from exhaustion or out of fear of the fire in me. I burn myself out, literally.

I spent so much time procrastinating this year that I feel like I let life glide right past me. I spent too much time stalling that I likely missed opportunities that were right in front of me. While there are many reasons why I’d do this, there’s only one important reason why I shouldn’t anymore.

I am not yet who I am meant to become.

So, how do I force myself to make room in my life to manifest my desires? How do I open up space in the universe and my heart? How do I wake up my soul and feed it life versus coffee?

Well, I will start by saying I think the journey towards the beginning is a constant work in progress because the idea of an ending is purely that - just an idea. In reality, we’re always moving towards another open door, another viewpoint, or another detour. We’re evolving, and we’re full of new beginnings.

Does that sound bogus or too metaphorical? Perhaps it does, but do you know what sounds more bogus? The idea that we never begin because we’re too afraid to try.

I say we face fear, challenge rejection, embrace uncertainty, and get comfortable being off balance occasionally. I say we let down our walls, open our eyes, un-shield our hearts, and ground ourselves to the universal energy all around us. It’s never too late to start.

Here’s what I’m trying, or trying more of, starting today.

Reading More

Sometimes I think I have all the answers and sometimes I think I have none of them. What is always helpful, is reading books that open up my imagination, invite me to see fresh perspectives, and teach me something new about life. By expanding my mind through words, I instantly create more space to shape my destiny.

Getting Outside Of My Comfort Zone

I’ve learned that one of the best ways to grow as a person is to put yourself in uncomfortable situations. Whether that’s traveling somewhere new or unexpected, going to an event alone, trying a new hobby I’ve never thought of before, learning a skill that has nothing to do with my job, or just taking a new road to a regular place, expanding my horizons organically creates space for magic to happen.

Going Inward

I know that everything I need to reach my destiny is already within me. External inspiration, experiences, and relationships will help bring those qualities out of me; but first I need to discover the real potential in my deepest, inner core. That’s why I genuinely value silence, spending time alone to reset, meditating, and practicing yoga. There are also a variety of spiritual tools that help me in this path as well that create space by amplifying positive energy.

Taking Mental Health Days

Anxiety is something I’ve learned to live with, work on daily, and some days are better than others. As an empath, I also feel things on an overwhelming scale which can be incredible or debilitating. Sometimes I’ll overreact, have extra trouble focusing or feel mentally exhausted because of my anxiety. When these symptoms amplify, I know it’s time for a mental health day. While the stigma is still around, it’s crucial we make taking care of ourselves a norm.

Waking Up Earlier

I used to be a night person, but over the years I’ve found that my inspiration is at its peak during the early morning hours. While waking up earlier may not always be easy, I unfailing feel so much better if I’m able to write, meditate, or workout before heading to work. This accomplished feeling stays with me all day and allows me to do more. I create space by literally giving myself more time, specifically in a part of the day I’m bound to be more productive.

Journaling

Whether you journal for a couple of minutes or an hour, journaling is proven to provide clarity into your thoughts, reduce stress, and solve problems more effectively. I’ve already been journaling for the better part of 2018, and it has sincerely allowed me to get to know myself better. Now, I’m closer to manifesting my destiny one sentence at a time.

Plus, just by simply making self-care a priority, which is what all of this is, I’m proving to myself and the world that I am worthy of the time and worthy of my dreams. Now, all I need to do is watch my desires pulled towards the space that I’m creating. How do you create space in your life?
