 is pre workout necessary

If you've never used a pre workout supplement, you may be missing out on some intense fat burning workouts.

Why Take Pre Workout

A pre workout may not be necessary, but it's extremely helpful. You're a busy person and many times life can get in the way of your workout. If you were able to take the same amount of effort from a longer workout, and condense into less time a pre workout helps you achieve that.  If you're ever lacking motivation to workout, I've personally used pre workout to get me up and active. Pre workout provides an extra boost of energy and endurance for your workouts and runs. This is particularly beneficial if you are attempting to shed body fat. The more intense your workout, the more calories you're able to burn and the more body fat your body needs to burn for energy.

Pre workout can be taken any time you need extra motivation to workout, have hit a plateau with your weight loss or need extra endurance.

The powders come in a variety of flavors ranging from watermelon to fruit punch, are easily mixed into your drink, and are generally a mixture of caffeine, amino acids, beta alanine, and creatine. It's important to know how the positive affects of each major ingredient, so take a look below.

1. Caffeine provides the body with energy and has been shown to decrease your rate of fatigue and lower your perception of effort. This means that caffeine helps you to have more intense workouts or longer runs many times without you physically feeling that you're working harder.

2. Amino Acids assist in burning fat while reducing protein metabolism which helps you maintain your muscle.

3. Beta Alanine increases your endurance for longer runs, workout intensity and cardio sessions.

4. Creatine gives you explosive strength which helps you lift heavier weight without the perception of lifting heavier.

Pre Workout Timing

To maximize results, try to drink your pre workout no more than 30 minutes before your workout. If you stick to this timing you will insure it starts to metabolize when it's time for your workout.

Although pre workout can be a powerful tool, there's no substitute for proper sleep and diet for energy. Insuring all three components of a successful workout are present can mean major progress towards your fitness goals.
