I Can’t Decide If I’m Thirty Or Thirteen But My Wallet Doesn’t Care
My shopping motivation for the week was brought to you by my inability to ever find my second stud earring, my fashion preparation for the summer, my middle school grudge against the Tomogatchi Pet that refused to survive and my beautiful albeit dusty houseplants. Based on my spending appetite I can't tell if I'm thirty or thirteen.
Sam Edleman Rumi Mule, Sam Edleman
I need these mules like I need air, seriously. Right now, my appetite for fashion is very much a mix of comfort and style. With the acquisition of these black leather mules, I will complete my spring/summer everyday "look" of cute distressed jeans, t-shirt, and super cute flats.
Medium Leather Transport Tote, Madewell
Many days I spend more time with one of my laptops than I do human beings. If I'm going to have my computer strapped to me at all times, it better compliment my ensemble. No more hideous black-nylon work bags for this girl.
Tamagotchi, Urban Outfitters
I recently wrote a piece about 90’s nostalgia toys, and one of the most fun toys in my memory was the Tamagotchi. That little digital pet was nearly impossible to raise without killing. I wonder how good (or bad) or a digital mom I’d be today given I’m no longer thirteen years old, and life has perfectly tuned my brain to juggling obligations. I have real pets now, and plants (so many plants, but that’s further down the list), I can totally raise a digital pet now without incident, right?
Aila Earring Organizer, Urban Outfitters
I’m more of a "studs instead of hoops" girl, and it’s been nearly impossible for me to find a jewelry organizer that accommodated all of my stud pairs in any manner that didn’t involve dumping them in a small drawer together, that is until now. Gone are the days of sifting through a pile of unpaired earrings.
Glass Plant Mister, Urban Outfitters
Through speaking to my luscious green plants I got close enough to notice how dusty their leaves get. I went through all my cabinets to find a sprayer, tossing objects behind me onto the floor. Sure, I could have run to the nearest Target and purchased any old plastic sprayer, but five seconds of googling led me to this super cute sprayer that satisfies both my needs for functionality and aesthetic.
